i'm eating apples and they're making me feel kinda sick...which is ironic, considering an apple a day keeps the doctor away. but whatever. maybe it's propaganda from the apple companies. or maybe the hospitals, knowing that apples make you sick.
well, things are getting better. school is closing in, and i need to get my license soon, and i'm at least a little bit more conscious of things going on around me. 2 weeks to the start of cross country, 5 weeks to the tobymac remix album. two more days of working summer arts, one week to the arkansas retreat, three and a half weeks to the start of school. one and a half weeks to X-games 11 (which i somehow anticipate very much). and about two and a half years to the olympics in china? and some twenty years to some higher society Tulsa (vision 2025).
hmm...what is this next school year gonna be? it's the start of new things, it's the end of good, old things. it's more responsibility, more independence. more stress, more capabilities. i don't know what it'll be like. but the future seems bright when we're on this road. it doesn't look like i'll be drinking as many four-shots as i had anticipated. i'll do a Day in the Life, but it's September 2, the third friday of the year.
i go to school and park in ruth's signature parking spot, the second on the left right next to the big tree. i would have my shirt untucked, and be wearing my black tie, but it's free dress day, so i'm wearing baggy pants and a las vegas t-shirt (i have three). i get there at 7:45 and chill for a while. i get to take a solo in jazz band, get to go to AP computer science and do whatever it is you do in AP computer science, and go through an array of classes (could it be: analysis h, english III, ap spanish lang, ap physics, chinese II which i somehow enroll in, but not us history because i hate history) managing not to flunk pop quizzes or in-class essays/tests. i actually do eat lunch, and in my free time, hang out at the tables in the library talking with friends and pretending to do homework (with the possibility of accidentally accomplishing something). before the day is over, drumline gets to play a spirit rally in the Commons and i'm on cymbals. even though the football team will probably lose to some monstrous team in Dallas, we still make everyone believe that they're gonna win. i head off to cross country, which is some kind of light workout because we have a meet tomorrow. i drive home at around 4:30 or 5 and listen to tobymac's new remix CD as i lay on my bed and try to do homework after taking a shower, brushing my teeth, and drinking an ice cold-refreshing Dr. Pepper. i eat dinner...yes. head off to friday night fellowship at Billy's house and grow closer to God. and on the chance that my week has just killed me, He picks me up and eases my pains. on the chance that my week has been a blast, He lifts me up and eases my concerns. i drive home, probably having to take elaine. i go home and sleep, praising God all the way.
