So that's the end of our missions trip: running from cops. But it still ranks pretty high on my list of two-week spans or church-related functions. It was really cool, thinking about it - we rode a plane thousands of miles away to Mexico City where all we were supposed to do was hang out and tell people what we are doing there. Two weeks to escape (into a foreign culture/country) with our only job being to focus on God, and He definitely showed up to the party. An intense impact with Mamuts and metros - that's what this was all about. Personal growth, and it couldn't be more stressed. Never the same again - I went under the water and everything was washed away. Rise above the surface and life has a new meaning - working for God. And nothing's ever the same again no matter how much you want to turn back. Above that is the fire, that's strongly burning in all of us, waiting to set Tulsa on fire for God. We never leave the missions field, everyone is fair game. Christianity never stops. And it's not bad at all - talking to someone (anyone) and inviting him to church or a church function, or something less intense, like doing them a favor or buying them a Coke so they wonder what it is about us that makes us who we are. When we listen, God is always speaking to us. "You will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart..."I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile." Jeremiah 29:12-14.
